The Great Northern Japan
Northern Japan is a snowy paradise that remains surprisingly unvisited, despite its wealth of natural and culinary treasures.
Winter is the perfect season for snow activities, from skiing to snowshoeing, as well as for the many ice festivals held across the region. The rest of the year, Hokkaido offers superb hiking routes. Enjoy local specialties featuring game, seal, fresh seafood, and much more.
The great northern region of Japan awaits you. Begin your journey in Sapporo, the economic and cultural heart of Hokkaido, then continue on to the charming port town of Otaru and the pristine Lake Shikotsu, set in the middle of nature.

Continue on to Asahikawa, in the geographic center of Hokkaidō, where waterfalls and breathtaking views of Mount Tomuraushi await. Then head further north to the islands of Rebun-tō and Rishiri-tō before flying back to Sapporo.
