Spirituality and Nature Journey
Japan is covered in forests and mountains across three-quarters of its territory, where every mountain is home to a temple or shrine.
Begin your journey in Yoshino , a region that is home to one of the most important temples of Shugendō, a mystical religion of the mountains and nature. The site is known locally for its thousands of cherry trees, making it a popular destination in late March and early April.
Enjoy the village of Tenkawamura , high in the mountains, where you can relax in its famous onsen and taste the local cuisine based on game, tofu, river fish, and honey.
Continue, after a stop near a lake, towards the great Kumano Hongū-Taisha shrine, the crossroads of the old Kumano roads, a high place of Japanese spirituality.

Continue your journey towards the sea along the rugged coastline of Mie Prefecture. Enjoy a relaxing stay in a luxurious hotel overlooking the sea, complete with spa treatments and onsen (hot springs). Next, Iseshima Shrine awaits. Here lies the holiest shrine in Shintoism, a pilgrimage site for thousands of Japanese every year. Spend the night in Toba, renowned for its onsen, where you can savor the famous Mie beef.
