Romantic getaway in Kansai
A poetic and immersive itinerary that connects the vibrant cities of Kansai to the tranquil landscapes of the Seto Inland Sea. Each day combines gastronomy, relaxation, and unique experiences for two, ideal for a honeymoon or romantic getaway to Japan.
Day 1, Osaka: Flavors and Traditions
Begin your stay in the heart of Umeda , a perpetually bustling district, and pay your respects at the most iconic shrine of love, the O-hatsu Tenjin . Continue your journey to the small central island of Nakanoshima . Stroll through the lively streets of Dōtonbori , the beating heart of Osaka, and sample its street food specialties: takoyaki, okonomiyaki, and kushikatsu. In the afternoon, participate in a food replica -making activity —these realistic models of Japanese dishes are often displayed in restaurant windows. In the evening, lose yourselves in the retro atmosphere of Hōzenji Yokocho , where lanterns and cobblestones create an intimate setting for a romantic dinner for two.
Osaka is brimming with hotels, each more beautiful and original than the last. Whether you're looking for views of Osaka's bustling streets, extravagant designs, a modern or retro ambiance, let us know your preferences.

Day 2, Osaka: Relaxation and breathtaking scenery
Begin your morning in the serenity of Sumiyoshi Taisha , one of Japan's oldest shrines, famous for its arched bridge and rows of torii gates. After a light lunch, enjoy a massage or spa treatment at one of Osaka's wellness centers, such as Spa World or the Conrad Spa. End the day at Abeno Harukas , Japan's tallest tower, to admire the sunset over Osaka Bay. Dinner with a view and an intimate evening await.
On the 60th floor, the Harukas 300 observation deck features a glass-enclosed terrace open to the sky, where couples can attach a heart-shaped padlock to the “Sky Garden Love Lock” to seal their love, with the city of Osaka sparkling below. Ideally, go just before sunset, when the lights of Dotonbori begin to twinkle – romance guaranteed!

Day 3, Minō, Takarazuka: A day of elegance to immortalize
Don your traditional kimonos in Nishinomiya , then travel to the verdant Minō Mountains. Hike to its iconic waterfall and have your photos taken by a professional photographer. Enjoy lunch at a charming restaurant overlooking the valley, then visit Katsuo-ji Temple , famous for its daruma dolls and tranquil gardens. Another photo session awaits in this enchanting setting. In the late afternoon, return to Takarazuka , where you'll see a performance by the all-female Takarazuka Revue before returning your kimonos.

This exceptional day includes several services:
the couple dressed in elegant kimonos in a small kimono shop in Nishinomiya
a driver to allow you to get around without the bulk of the kimono
a photographer to immortalize the day
For an exceptional and memorable day, we may suggest a different location, more suited to the season.
Day 4, Himeji: between craftsmanship and feudal majesty
Depart for Himeji , a historic and refined city. In the morning, participate in a pottery workshop at Gochaku , where you'll create your own pieces, a symbol of your journey. Afterward, enjoy a lunch featuring Kobe beef, an exceptional culinary experience. In the afternoon, visit Himeji Castle , a masterpiece of elegance nicknamed the White Heron, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Then, stroll through the Koko-en Gardens, perfect for a peaceful moment for two.
Before your pottery workshop, think about what you would like to create. Your sensei (teacher) can show you and recommend pieces, including one of their specialties: oni-gawara , tiles shaped like guardian demons (approximately 4 hours to make). You will receive your finished piece at home a month and a half later.

Day 5, Kurashiki: Retro charm and flower-filled canals
Visit the museum-city of Kurashiki, famous for its historic Bikan district. Stroll along the willow-lined canals, where the old houses and stone bridges are reflected in the water. Take a boat ride, enjoy a coffee in a converted former rice mill, and capture these moments in this timeless setting, one of the most romantic in Japan.

Hire a photographer for a few hours to create unique memories in this charming city.
Day 6, Miyajima: Spirituality and views of the Inland Sea
Take the ferry to Miyajima, a sacred island and romantic gem of Japan. Visit the mythical Itsukushima Shrine and its floating torii gate. Then, take the cable car up to the Shishi-iwa Observatory, and walk to Koibito no Sanchi (“Lovers' Lookout”) for a panoramic view of the Inland Sea. In the afternoon, savor Hiroshima's famous oysters and stroll through the peaceful alleyways before enjoying a relaxing onsen by the sea.

Hiroshima is known for its oysters. Unlike French oysters, the oysters in the region are plump and often eaten cooked in a Japanese pot-au-feu or fried in breadcrumbs, the famous “kaki-fry”.
Other excursions are available and can be added to this one to complete your honeymoon. Discover our charming 4-day stay: “ Romantic Getaway to Okinawa ”, on a paradise island in Japan.
